Meet Julie
she/her/hers
Being a woman is an enigmatic experience. embrace your mystery. It is your strength.
Hi, I’m Julie, and I am a woman, partner, mama, therapist, adoptee, writer, tireless seeker, and passionate as all hell human.
Like anyone, I have navigated my share of suffering and loss. It was in the messiness, raw emotional experiences, inexplicable synchronicities, resiliency of my own heartl, and capacity for connection that I discovered my healers’ heart. It is a privilege of a lifetime and truly my life’s calling.
My work is deeply relational, and I care for my clients immensely. Simultaneously, I do not see myself as the expert in your life, and instead I trust the inherent wisdom of my clients. I see myself as a guide beside you as you traverse the interior of your heart, mind, and soul
In sessions, I tend to use my honesty, humor, compassion, and intuition to help clients access their own wisdom and find their proverbial center of gravity.
I am currently pursuing a MA/PhD in Mythology with emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Which is a fancy way to say that I study stories and use them to help make meaning for the collective and for individuals. Our stories matter.
I also work with dreams, metaphors, creative arts, and a trusty tarot deck to help my clients tap into their soul and unconscious world that day-to-day life tends to drown out.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my tiny humans who are 9 and 6 (I see you, mamas), and share adventures with my partner. My favorite things include camping, wandering through nature, good coffee, being a plant mom to my garden, reading excellent books, a good sandy beach, and my penchant for all things mythical, archetypal, and awesome (like Star Wars).
Fun fact about me: A million years ago I worked at Disneyland, which I attribute to the very beginning of my love for, and fascination with, humanity.
“There are two important days in a woman's life: the day she is born and the day she finds out why.”
-Terry Tempest Williams
